A Better Online Family Organizer: AboutOne 2.0

I have a confession. I’m organizationally challenged. I am your friend that gets excited when all the new calendars come. I stand in the store and agonize for hours over the perfect family organizer. My friends always ask me “How do you do it all?” and don’t understand when I don’t have a real answer. I have a million lists and if I lost my iPhone? Let’s just say my world as we know it would end.
·
Luckily for me, the folks over at AboutOne know that I call myself an under-organized over-achiever and were kind enough (felt sorry for me) to reach out to me about the new AboutOne 2.0 with Acorn Points.
·
AboutOne 2.0 with AcornPoints is the new, improved version of their online family organizer. It’s getting ready to launch for beta testing and to sweeten the deal, they are offering a contest. Sign up and refer three friends to also sign up, you and that friend could each win $5,000 – EACH. Nice, right?

So how would a product like AboutOne 2.0 help you get your family organized for 2012, or how you could integrate the program into your current system? It’s like this, AboutOne is the only comprehensive online organizer that works with a customer’s existing calendar and contacts tools to quickly and easily store and manage multi-media memories (text, photos, videos, artwork) and household paperwork (health, education, possessions) in lifestreams, which is the way this information flows and is used in real life.
·
AboutOne replaces tools that manage silos of information, providing a private, secure application to help organize home life.

·
The AboutOne Stream is a private timeline of events, recorded as life unfolds. It addresses your desires to build, share, and preserve family history, while also supporting daily information needs – all with no additional effort. Streams can be gifted to children when they become adults (great for kids going off to college!), and custom-selected pieces can be shared though social media, in automatically-created family newsletters and other offered items.
·
Through APIs and wizards, AboutOne collects small pieces of information over time, automatically formatting them when and how they are needed: health histories for doctor visits, babysitter/caregiver instructions, home inventories for insurance claims, education summaries for college applications, plus on- and offline access to emergency information and contacts. AboutOne makes getting organized virtually effortless, employing gamification to encourage, guide, and reward customers for achieving organizational goals.
·
I’m loving what I’m seeing from AboutOne and can’t wait to start test-driving it. After all, someone has to do it all!
