Feature Friday: Handmade Edibles

Cooking is not really my thing but I love to bake especially around the holidays. With so much going on during this time of year heading to the kitchen to whip up a batch of your favorite cookies may not be an option. So, here’s another option……Instead of heading to the nearest grocery store to grab something off the shelf buy someone else’s homemade goodies. You can find lots of beautiful baked goods online. Here are a few of my Etsy picks.

When buying edibles online it’s always a good idea to read the product description and  feedback that others have left for that shop or the item you wish to purchase. Shipping is another thing to consider. Shipping a cake can be very expensive compared to cookies, etc. Check the shipping prices before you buy. I bought a birthday cake (for myself) two years ago and the seller happened to be local. I asked her if she could meet me somewhere so I could pick up the cake in person and avoid the shipping cost.  She agreed without hesitation. She got the sale and I got my birthday cake and got to meet the person who made it for me. Ask before you buy!

  1. We have used Able Labels for our address labels for ten years now, and have found them very convenient. People receiving them comment favourably about their appearance.

  2. OMG. All of those cookies look amazing. Thanks for re-awakening the fat girl within.
