Hi. My name is Lisa and I am a product a-holic. I started wearing make-up when I was 11 and remember it very clearly. My Dad(!!) actually took me to the Estee Lauder counter and bought my foundation, clear lipgloss and a pale, pale pink blush. Looking back on it now, he didn’t want his little girl growing up and so my pleas for make-up were covered subtlely.
Since it was the 80’s, and my parents were divorced, my mother was at the opposite end of the spectrum. She was always telling me “go put some color on your face”. I think I heard that every morning before heading out to school. Looking back on it, I realize that Cosmo was in it’s heyday and if you are of a certain age, you know what the makeup of the time was. Brash. Powerful. Yet sexy. It said “I can wear a power suit with tennis shoes to work, and still come off as irresistably sexy”.
As a busy mom, there are mornings I have to be out the door in a flash and this is how I do it. I still wear make-up, but it changes with the seasons. However, since most think that I am always put together, I am sharing my essentials for my summer look.
1. Neutrogena Healthy Defense® SPF 30 Daily Moisturizer. My skin is sensitive and this product is great for my face in the morning. It has sunscreen, which is essential in the blazing summer sun.
2. Stila Tinted Moisturizer. Yep, another one. This one is for coverage. A light one, but it’s what I need to keep my pink skin tone evened out and looking fantastic.
