Kellogg Breakfast Council & Breakfast in America

Join me this morning at 11 a.m. Eastern to talk breakfast with Kellogg and the Motherhood! My son is a very slow eater, so having a good breakfast has always been an essential part of his mornings as lunches were never finished. This is why I’m honored to be taking part in this program and getting the word out to other parents.

As part of the Kellogg virtual breakfast series in TheMotherhood, we will be discussing key findings from Kellogg’s Breakfast in America Survey, including stats revealing that consumption of breakfast dips as American children grow older: 77 percent of young children eat breakfast every day, but the number falls to 50 percent in the middle-school years and 36 percent among high school students.

To help reverse these breakfast trends, Kellogg has developed the Kellogg Breakfast Council, a panel of seven experts dedicated to helping people understand nutrition information, and to incorporate nutritious foods and habits into the diet. They’re also trying to spread the word online, and this is where you can help!

Join Dr. Laura Jana, Kellogg Breakfast Council member, to talk about the survey, morning routines and breakfast nutrition. Dr. Jana will join us via live streaming video, while we chat and ask questions through a real-time, text-based conversation.
