Family Time

Family time is essential. That’s what I’ve been doing over the last two weeks. My husband and I have been in a rough patch. While I won’t go into details, we are working on our relationship and that has been much more important than maintaining Mommyality.

It’s my reality.

When people have a breakdown of communication, it can create problems you didn’t realize existed. Add in family life, work, me opening my own company, consulting and things go crazy.

I can say that my husband and I are talking more than we have in years…since we met. It’s been refreshing, almost like new again. Butterflies kick in when I see him and I can’t wait until he’s home in the evening, or to curl up in his arms.

We are working together better as parents, as partners, and friends. It’s a welcome change we both needed and is refreshing. Looking forward, the future is bright and I’m feeling my enthusiasm come back and excitement.

I can’t ask for more.

So, that’s my brief update. I’ll be back tomorrow, but just wanted to say hello and update you on life.

  1. Way to go Lisa! The writing markets are already flooded with cynical, crabby, divorced women. It’s good to see someone putting in the work and time it takes to ward all that off.

  2. Oh Lisa, I just love you! HUGS!!!! We all need to stop living just online. I’m one too and is exactly why I haven’t been on much lately. My family needs to come first… then my online life. 🙂 Let me know if you need to chat… I’m always here!!
