I’m a bit of an uber-geek. I love new tech toys, get excited when I have new gadget/goodies. I’m also a tree-hugger and blogged about living green for a long time. Due to events in 2009 that forever changed me, I made the tough decision to put Walking Green on hiatus indefinitely. There were posts here and there in 2010, however life is taking me different directions. Sometimes the circle comes back to you. I have been invited by Ford Motor Company to attend Ford World Headquarters Tour, Green Driving Technology Event, and North American International Auto Show! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity made possible for me by the Clever Girls Collective, a proud partner with Ogilvy PR and Ford on this program.
Let me tell you something else about me. I love Ford products. I’m not lying. I drove a Ford Mustang for years. When I was in an accident totaling one, I bought another one that I drove until 5 years ago. American Muscle Cars thrill me to no end. I could wax poetically all day about them.
Another boon is seeing so many blogger friends, like TechSavvyMama, and making new ones.
So, on Sunday, I will head to the airport and make my way to the Motor City. There is a lot packed into my schedule. On Monday, I will be able to take questions from readers about Ford’s eco-initiative and live tweet them. You can send them to me on Twitter as @Mommyality or @Daily_Pinch! Use the hash tag #FordGreen so I don’t miss it! If you want to email me ahead of time, please send it via my contact form on Mommyality!
I was invited to participate in this program by Clever Girls Collective, Inc. in partnership with Ford and Ogilvy PR. Ford Motor Company paid for my travel and accommodations at the 2-day Driving Green Technology event, I was not compensated in any other manner for my time. My opinions posted here are my own.
have fun! and i hope i get to meet you!!
