Plumply, Dumply Pumpkin by Mary Serfozo

Mary Serfozo is the author of several picture books but my son’s current favorite is Plumply, Dumply Pumpkin. This book quickly became one of Puddin’s favorites once we brought it home from the book store. He loves the warm but bright autumn colors of this book and all the wonderful wordplay that it offers. It took me at least a couple of readings to get it all lumpy bumpy words out without totally twisting up my tongue. Every time he chooses this book I know I will be reading it to him more than just a few times.

On Sunday, we went to pick out our perfect little pumpkin at a pumpkin patch near our home. To my surprise and delight Puddin’ picked out a perfectly big lumpy bumpy not so perfect pumpkin!

I purchased this book for my son and was not compensated for this post.
